Relocation of Spring Street Coach Parking Lots

Please note that Banda/ Spring Carpark will be temporarily closed for reconfiguration works from 1st Nov 2014 to February 2015. Spring Street will still be accessible until the end of November 2014. Thereafter, it will be closed from 1 December 2014.

Please note that Banda Street and Sago Lane are still accessible by car throughout the carpark closure. Kindly see the enclosed layout for directional access to Banda Street and Sago Lane.


During this interim, motorists may consider to park at the following carpark/ car lots:
  • Duxton Road
  • Duxton Hill Road
  • South Bridge Road
  • Blk 333 Kreta Ayer Road
  • URA East Wing etc.

For coach drivers, URA had proposed 2 parking lots:
 
A: Mosque Street
     08 30 to 17 00 hrs
  • 1x drop off point
  • 3x coach parking lots
B: Peck Seah Street
     08 30 to 17 00 hrs
  • 2x coach parking lots

Flea Market on Pagoda Street

There will be a flea market coming up in view of the holiday period.

Date: 29th & 30th November, Saturday and Sunday
Time: 12pm to 7pm
Location: Pagoda Street, next to Sri Mariamman Temple

As such, the lion dance performance on 29th November will be shifted to Trengganu Street.
 
Fogging Session

This year in light of the dengue cluster forming, Chinatown Business Association initiated a Fogging Exercise on 18th October 2014. The exercise was to ensure the safety and hygiene of the people within the vicinity of Chinatown. The streets fogged are as follows:
  • Pagoda Street
  • Trengganu Street
  • Smith Street
  • Sago Street
The exercise had been very successful and we hope to implement this quarterly in time to come.
