Chinatown Business Association celebrated Mid-autumn on the 26th September 2015. Pagoda Street was thrown back to the 1960s with a street carnival. We constructed our first ever make-shift runway for the 1960s fancy dress contest where contestants competed against one another with their 1960s outfit or costume for the grand prize of $2000.
That night, models dressed up in their 1960s outfit distributed Haw Flakes and Lollipops. Carnival snacks such as Popcorn, Candy Floss and Kachang Puteh were distributed as well. Furthermore, band performances by Loon's Music and Jack and Rai brought the crowd back to the 1960s with their songs and engaging voices.
Once again, we would like to congratulate all winners of our fancy dress contest and we hope everyone has enjoyed themselves on that day.
