CBA Membership Renewal

Please kindly note that your membership with Chinatown Business Association expires end June 2017. The membership fee for the period of 1st July 2017 to 30th June 2018 is $160.50 (inclusive of 7% GST). For the purposes of membership renewal, please kindly prepare cash payment or cheque of $160.50 made payable to Chinatown Business Association.
With your support, CBA hopes to be able to strive towards making Chinatown a more vibrant place for locals, tourists and businesses. We look towards receiving your renewal confirmation and continuous support!

WeChat Pay Solution

Since the beginning of 2017, Chinatown Visitor Centre has been offering WeChat Pay as a payment mode to China tourists. WeChat pay is a cashless payment solution seamlessly integrated within the social and messaging application of Tencent.
We understand that WeChat is very popular among China tourists. Should you be interested to offer WeChat Pay as one of your payment modes, Chinatown Business Association will look into working with Official Singapore Vendor to obtain a package offer for all tenants. Alibaba Entrepreneur Start Up & Managerial Elite Programme

Here is your chance to reach out to the China market, through the event 全球购 by collaborating with Taobao resellers in July 2017!

Due to the overwhelming response in March, the Singapore Institute of Retail Studies (SIRS) will be running their second run of the Alibaba Entrepreneur Start UP & Managerial Elite programme in June. For this upcoming run, there is also a tie up with the 全球购 event in July which you will have opportunity to share your products with > 1000 Tao Bao Sellers in a live broadcast, should your product be selected for this event. This will be a great platform for you to enter into the Chinese market with minimum cost!
These programmes will be taught by Alibaba Tao Bao University trainers in Mandarin and facilitated by SIRS trainers in English.

Dates of classes:
1) Alibaba Entrepreneur Start Up Programme : 19 – 24 June, $ 847 after 90% funding for SME (Singaporeans/ SPR) or Singaporeans > 40 yrs
2) Alibaba Managerial Elite Programme : 12 – 16 June, $ 605 after 90% funding for SME (Singaporeans/ SPR) or Singaporeans > 40 yrs

Social Media Training Workshop

Do you have a social media account for your business in Chinatown? Are you getting the right attention for your page? Are you doing the page right? Chinatown Business Association (CBA) will be holding a workshop for all tenants interested in building your business through Facebook and Instagram platform.

The details are as follows:
Date: 29th or 30th June 2017
Time: 10am to 12.00pm
Venue: CBA conference room

This workshop will provide you advice on how to set up your page on social media, how to advertise your business in 3 simple steps and how to make your page more attractive to other users.

Past Events

Dragon Boat Festival Celebration

Chinatown Business Association celebrated Dragon Boat Festival on the 6th May 2017 at Kreta Ayer Square, with a rice dumpling tasting event. As part of the celebration, we organized a few activities and performances for the event. We welcomed the arrival of our Guest-Of-Honour Dr Lily Neo with a lion dance performance.
Opened to the public with free admission, our main highlight of the event was the food tasting segment where participants sampled the rice dumplings offered by different merchants. Other highlights included the lucky draw, and cultural dance performance.

We hope everyone enjoyed themselves that evening!
